Gallery

A curated gallery of Japanese-inspired watercolor and ink paintings from my studio.

My current practice explores two evolving series: kokeshi-inspired figures and tumi ishi compositions. Each piece is created through a process of observation, intuition, and quiet rhythm—where form, balance, and expression emerge slowly over time.

This gallery brings together selected works from these series, offering a glimpse into the visual language I am developing through my art practice.

Kokeshi Series

A series of expressive figures inspired by traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls.

Each piece carries a distinct presence—subtle variations in posture, color, and mark-making that suggest mood, personality, and emotion. These works explore how simple forms can hold feeling within a minimalist watercolor and ink style.

Tumi Ishi Series

Inspired by the Japanese practice of balancing stones, this series explores form, weight, and harmony.

Through color and composition, each arrangement becomes a meditation on balance—both physical and internal—expressed through layered watercolor and ink.

These works are part of an ongoing exploration within my Japanese-inspired art practice.

New pieces are added as the series evolve. If you feel drawn to a particular work, you’re welcome to explore current availability or reach out directly.
